Why is this guest on my show?

Before you invite anyone, answer one question: what value does this guest bring to my listener? If you can't say it cleanly, you're not ready to send the pitch.

It sounds blunt, but "why is this guest on my show?" is the question we ask before we even send the invite.

Put yourself in the earbuds of your audience. What will this person teach them? Motivate them? Make them laugh? Your listener's attention is precious, and you're one of the few they trust with it.

Everyone wins when you've answered it. Your audience enjoys it, your guest sounds great, and your show has the impact it needs to grow.
