What to include in your episode outro

A great podcast outro sends listeners to ONE place, gives them ONE call to action, and teases the next episode. More than one of each kills the conversion.

Like the intro, there are no hard rules. But if you want to close strongly, three things matter.

Send them to ONE place — your website. That's where show notes, links, transcripts, and follow-up resources live. Multiple destinations and they go nowhere.

Include ONE call to action — "follow the show", "tell a friend", "buy the book", "support the show". Give them too much to do and they'll do none of it.

Finally, tease the next episode. Whet their appetite and keep your show in their head until the next one drops. Tick the checklist below for your next outro.
