Planning your episodes

Great podcasters and terrible podcasters have one thing in common — they both make it sound like they haven't planned their episodes.

For the great podcasters, it's because they plan them so well. For the terrible ones, it's because they don't plan them at all.

An episode plan isn't a dissertation. It's a handful of top-level questions: "Why this topic right now?" "What problem does it solve for my audience?" "How will this provide value?"

Get the plan right and the scripting and recording fall out of it. Skip the plan and you'll feel it in the edit.
