Why use transcription?

Transcripts used to be a luxury — bonus content for power fans. Today, they're a baseline for accessibility and increasingly a legal expectation.

Two reasons to provide a transcript with every episode. First: accessibility. Millions of people are deaf or hard of hearing, and a transcript means they're not shut out from the insights and info on your show.

Second: the law. There have been recent examples of podcasters facing legal action for not providing transcriptions. You don't want to join that club.

Where do they go? Paste them into your shownotes, link to them on a separate page, or use a hosting provider with a dedicated transcripts section.

Accessibility alone is a strong enough reason. AI transcription is cheap and fast — there's little excuse to skip it.
